Ukraine is trying to protect its power plants from shelling as best as possible, but it is preparing for the worst winter in its history.
This statement was made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dmytro Kuleba, in an interview with Die Welt.
This statement was made in the context of the minister's comments that Ukraine no longer expects long-range Taurus missiles to be transferred from Germany.
"We are preparing for the most dreadful winter in history. So, we will close our eyes if we do not receive the Taurus but receive air defense systems," said Kuleba.
According to the minister, Ukraine is trying to protect its power plants as best as possible.
"But the Russians are learning. They will test our endurance once again with their missiles," he added.
Kuleba emphasized that Ukraine finds itself in the shadow of the war in Gaza and is losing focus.
"But for Europe, as before, everything is at stake," he noted.
