The Librarius reading app, in collaboration with the language programme Future Perfect, has introduced approximately a thousand English bestsellers in their new project, FutuLib. This collection includes classic novels by Jane Austen, detective stories by Arthur Conan Doyle, as well as Gothic works about Dracula and Frankenstein. Books from the collection can be downloaded and accessed anywhere, anytime, online or offline.
“In a world where English is the language of international communication, knowledge of it opens up new opportunities and personal development. Surveys on foreign language proficiency show that Ukrainians have the strongest skills in reading. Therefore, Future Perfect offers convenient and accessible tools to improve English precisely through this strength—reading in the original language,” notes Valeria Ionan, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation for European Integration.
Users can easily select books by proficiency level and genre on the Librarius website and app. The FutuLib project features 14 genres, ranging from science fiction to romance or detective stories. The collection will continue to grow.
“At a time when it is critically important not just to stand still but to move forward, the key to further development of culture, economy, and society as a whole is an educated nation. The key to current, quality knowledge, to being on the same wavelength with the whole world, is proficiency in foreign languages. For anyone who still hesitates, not knowing how to improve (or maintain) their English level, Librarius offers the chance to do so in an interesting, easy, and effortless way. Choosing books to your taste, sharing quotes with friends, and reading in various settings can help,” adds Anton Martynov, founder of the Librarius app.
The FutuLib library provides a convenient and free way to access a wide range of books during different situations such as traveling, blackouts, or in shelters. The project is part of the Future Perfect language programme, implemented by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine.
