In the framework of international cooperation, Ukrainian rescuers have received an armored mobile housing container from the Ministry of the Interior of Finland. In the future, 10 such housing modules are planned to be transferred for the needs of the State Emergency Service.
On January 9, Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denys Monastyrskyy held a working meeting with Minister of the Interior of Finland Krista Mikkonen to discuss areas of cooperation between the two agencies.
âWe have discussed the humanitarian mission, in particular, evacuation of citizens, and the issue of humanitarian demining. We receive considerable assistance from our international colleagues, especially for our demining squads. Besides, Finland has sheltered more than 45,000 citizens of Ukraine, and is now working to accept additional people from the Baltic countries to provide them with shelter. Now we are receiving armored containers for the demining personnel, who will work in the hottest spots and in the de-occupied territories to ensure timely demining, so that people could return to their homes as soon as possible. I am grateful for the care and assistance we have been receiving for almost a year,â Denys Monastyrskyy noted.
Besides, the parties discussed further assistance in the form of specialized demining robots and robotic firefighting equipment.
