In Sumy region, intensified efforts are beginning for the construction of fortification structures. This task was assigned by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky.

He noted that in 2024, Sumy region continues to fulfill the tasks set by Zelensky, particularly focusing on defense capability and the protection of the region's population.
"The main priority set by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief is the construction of fortification structures. Such a large-scale project, to be implemented this year, has not been seen in Sumy Oblast before. The task must be completed, and it is the responsibility of every district and community leader," he emphasized.
According to Artyukh, in 2024, they will take all necessary measures to prevent misuse of budget funds during the construction of fortification structures. Quality and efficiency standards will also be adhered to during the construction process.
