In Ukraine, a new logistics IT system for the Armed Forces has been introduced, based on solutions from the German company SAP.
Vitaliy Shabunin, the head of the Anti-Corruption Action Center, announced this on Facebook.
"The team of Rustem Umerov presented the logistics IT system based on SAP. In August 2022, at the Anti-Corruption Action Center (ACAC), we publicly criticized Reznikov, who failed to provide the Armed Forces with a logistics IT system (such a system has long been in place in Russia)," wrote Shabunin.
The new system will accelerate the processing of supply requests and improve procurement in the military. Currently, the system is implemented at the top level and will not be applied at the brigade and lower levels. Deployment of the logistics IT tool at lower levels is still ongoing.
The Ministry of Defense first announced the implementation of the new logistics system at the end of the previous year. It was noted that SAP products in the defense sector are used in 44 countries, and 28 out of 31 NATO member countries operate in this system.
The major users include Ukraine's partners: the United States, Germany, the Netherlands, Canada, Poland, and Australia.
