The West underestimates the level of threat posed by the kremlin and continues to flirt with the russian federation responding with semi-sanctions. Such indecision is rather costly for Ukraine and may prove dangerous for the whole world. Democratic countries need to act more decisively against the russian invaders, Iryna Vereshchuk, the Deputy-Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories, is convinced.
"We see semi-sanctions against the russian federation. They prohibit one thing and allow another. On the one hand, there is an embargo on gas and oil, on the other hand, there is none. The same goes for technology and other things. One gets the impression that they are trying to wear putin down, but, unfortunately, at the cost of our dead soldiers and our killed civilians. All this only worsens the situation of countries like the United States. They are unable to predict future developments because decisions in russia are made by one person who has the nuclear button," the official expressed her opinion in an interview with the Rzeczpospolita newspaper.
Iryna Vereshchuk is convinced that the whole world should act against putin's invasion and act uncompromisingly. This is the only way to avoid the military, including nuclear, threat that putin blackmails the world with.
