As of the morning of June 7, 2022, more than 730 children were injured in Ukraine as a result of full-scale armed aggression by the Russian Federation. According to official information from juvenile prosecutors, 263 children died and more than 467 were injured.
These figures are not final, as work is underway to establish them in places of active hostilities, in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories.
The most affected children were in Donetsk region - 190, Kyiv region - 116, Kharkiv region - 112, Chernihiv region - 68, Luhansk region - 53, Kherson region - 52, Mykolaiv region - 47, Zaporizhzhia region - 29, Sumy region - 17, Kyiv city - 16, Zhytomyr region - 15.
On June 3, two people died in a mine explosion on a beach in Mariupol, Donetsk region. One of the dead was an 8-year-old boy.
As a result of constant bombing and shelling by the Russian armed forces of Ukrainian cities and villages, 1940 educational institutions were damaged. At the same time, 184 of them were completely destroyed.
