According to his words, in the position of president, he will be able to apply his experience, values, and methods of work. Rehn noted that among his competitors in the presidential race, there will be experienced candidates, which is good for the voters.
In his speech, he also reminded that foreign policy is within the competence of the president. Rehn touched upon the topic of the war in Ukraine.
"Russia's frozen foreign currency assets should be used for the reconstruction of Ukraine," stated Olli Rehn.
The first round of presidential elections will take place in January 2024.
