The liberation of Crimea may be an easier operation than the de-occupation of the Kherson region, the expert believes.
Military expert, reserve colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Roman Svitan, on the air of Radio NV told how the Armed Forces of Ukraine could liberate Crimea using non-contact warfare.
âWe will not need to enter the Crimea immediately to destroy the Russian troops. The task of any army is to destroy the enemy. And Crimea is a big trap for the Russian army. This is a big trap for the army if the enemy has long-range weapons. We have them,â says Svitan.
However, the expert notes Ukraine needs more long-range weapons, either from Ukroboronprom or from Western partners.
âWe will carry out the destruction of Russian troops in Crimea using non-contact warfare. And after the destruction, the liberation of Crimea will be much easier, since there will be no one to liberate. Long-range weapons will simply destroy them,â Svitan believes.
At the same time, the expert added, it is necessary to destroy the Crimean bridge.
âFor this, it will still be necessary to strike the Crimean bridge again to transfer Crimea into the operational boiler mode completely, and then it will take several weeks to work. HARM systems will extinguish all air defense and our aviation will begin to operate, which will supplement long-range destruction systems. Because just the capture of the Crimea can be an even easier operation than the displacement of the Russians from the right bank of the Dnieper,â Svitan explained.
