In Odessa, as a result of a Russian missile strike on the evening of May 1, a strong fire broke out, with more than ten civilians known to have been injured.
This was reported by the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleg Kiper.
According to the head of the administration, Russian forces used ballistic missiles to shell Odessa.
"The enemy attacked Odessa with ballistic missiles. At least 13 casualties are known at the moment. There is a powerful fire at the impact site," Kiper's statement said.
Later it became known that the Russian missile strike hit a sorting depot and a branch of Nova Poshta.
"Night of May 1st. Odessa. Sorting depot and branch of Nova Poshta. Just hit by a missile from the Russian invaders," the operator's statement reads.
Nova Poshta stated that there were no casualties or injuries among the company's employees. The statement also indicates that the estimated value of all parcels destroyed due to the enemy strike will be fully compensated to the customers.
