The Netherlands will soon provide Ukraine with new military assistance, which will significantly enhance the country's air defense.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense's Telegram channel.
According to the Ministry, Ukraine's Defense Minister Rustem Umerov met with his Dutch counterpart, Ruben Brekelmans, on the sidelines of the "Ramstein" meeting.
The key topic of the meeting was directing investments into joint defense projects.
"A particularly important area is the production of long-range drones. We discussed in detail how to make this process as effective as possible and analyzed the best mechanisms for direct funding," said Umerov.
The ministers also explored the possibility of using income from frozen Russian assets to support the production of drone parts. It is noted that this could become an effective tool for increasing Ukraine's defense capabilities.
"Another key topic of the talks was strengthening our air defense. The Netherlands will soon provide assistance that will significantly enhance our protection of the skies," Umerov added.
