President Volodymyr Zelensky solemnly handed over the first batch of new "Peklo" drone missiles, with a range of 700 kilometers, to the Defense Forces.

The Ukrainian defense conglomerate Ukroboronprom unveiled this long-range munition, which the developers classify as a drone missile.

The 'Peklo' drone boasts a maximum flight range of over 700 kilometers, with speeds reaching up to 700 km/h due to its jet engine.

Other specifications remain undisclosed for security reasons. However, attendees at the event noted that its effectiveness rivals certain types of Russian cruise missiles while being significantly more cost-efficient.

Minister of Strategic Industries Herman Smetanin announced that the first batch of several dozen "Peklo" drone missiles has already been delivered to the Defense Forces.

"The Ukrainian manufacturer developed the drone missile from scratch in record time—within a year. The system has already seen successful combat use," he stated.

While the exact number of drones remains undisclosed, markings on the UAVs suggest production has reached around 60 units.

Smetanin also noted that 'Peklo' is being produced serially and continues to be refined. Efforts are ongoing to enhance its resistance to electronic warfare (EW), improve operational characteristics, and increase targeting precision.

Additionally, new types of warheads are being developed for the 'Peklo,' expanding the range of potential targets.
