Due to the Russian drone attack in the Odessa region, a 15-year-old teenager lost his life. Russians deliberately targeted residential areas, and a fire broke out both in residential quarters and in the port.

Oleg Kiper, the head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, provided information on the casualties and victims.

"Due to the attack, a 15-year-old teenager died. Three people with injuries and burns were hospitalized," he said.

Additionally, four more individuals received medical assistance on-site and continue their outpatient treatment.

Fire in the port:

As a result of a direct hit, a fire broke out in one of the port terminals, which was promptly brought under control.

"People were not affected," noted Kiper.

Deliberate targeting of residential areas:

As the head of the Administration pointed out, part of the drones was deliberately directed towards residential quarters in the sleeping districts of Odessa and its suburbs around midnight, where people were gathering in their homes to celebrate the New Year with their families.

"As a result of the falling shot down UAVs, at least 3 multi-story residential buildings, 3 private houses, and utility structures were damaged," he listed the consequences, adding that air defense systems shot down 28 enemy drones.
