The budget of the Ministry of Digital Transformation in 2024 is set to increase to 2.5 billion UAH, compared to 616 million UAH last year. Of this amount, 70% (1.5 billion UAH) is allocated to fund Brave1.
The defense technology cluster Brave1 has financed 135 developments with a total of $2.3 million, as announced by the Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov, on Telegram.
The majority of developments, 41 in total, are ground stations. In the second place are 28 developments in other directions, followed by 24 developments related to drones. In total, 877 developments are registered on the platform, with 479 having undergone military expertise, and 420 receiving the status BRV1.
As a reminder, the budget for the Ministry of Digital Transformation in 2024 is expected to be four times higher than in 2023. The ministry's budget has increased to 2.5 billion UAH, compared to 616 million UAH last year. Of this amount, 70% (1.5 billion UAH) is allocated to fund Brave1.
In the first six months of its existence, the innovative military cluster Brave1 financed 57 developments with a budget exceeding $1 million. Brave1 is a joint initiative of the Ministry of Defense, the General Staff, the National Security and Defense Council, the Ministry of Strategic Industries, and the Ministry of Economy, launched at the end of April this year.
