The European Union is extremely interested in Ukraine's digitizing public services. Mstislav Banik attended the Innovation in migration roundtable in Brussels at the invitation of the European migration network. At the event, he shared his experience in creating the Diia ecosystem and digital services for internally displaced persons.
One of the European Union's top priorities today is digitalization. The Ministry of Finance has been working on for more than two years and has successful projects. The launch inspires EU countries in our country of the world's first digital passports and other services. During the round table, I received many positive feedback and questions about innovative services in Ukraine.

Also, during the round table, he reported on the following drafts of the Digital Principles: on future temporary and residence permits, IDP certificates, and IDP services in Action. He also told Europeans about other documents and services in the application and on the Action portal.
On February 8, we held another Diia Summit, where we presented even more digital services on the portal and in the Diia application. Polls, residence permits, car sharing, automatic building permits, a certificate of no criminal record, as well as online extension and termination of financial assistance for IDPs are now available in the ecosystem.

The event was organised by the Representation of Ukraine in the European Union.
In May 2021, Ukraine initiated the first round of technical consultations on joining the European Migration Network. In October 2021, a delegation of experts and national coordinators of the EMU of EU member states visited Ukraine to learn more about the work of Ukrainian bodies responsible for implementing migration policy and agree on further steps needed for Ukraine's accession to the EMU. As a result, on January 30, 2022, the members of the EMN Governing Board unanimously supported Ukraine's accession to the network. After completing the necessary legal procedures, a Cooperation Agreement between Ukraine and the EMN will be signed in 2022, and Ukraine will become a member of the European Migration Network as an observer. Ukraine's accession to the EMN will be an important step in establishing coordinated cooperation in migration between Ukraine and EU member states.
It is important to note that Ukraine continues to pay special attention to the development of bilateral dialogue in the field of migration. We continue the successful implementation of the visa-free regime for the citizens of Ukraine. At the same time, the EU emphasizes the importance of continuing to meet the criteria for visa liberalization.
Denis Krymov, First Secretary of the Mission of Ukraine to the EU
It will be recalled that the European Union recognized the Ukrainian COVID certificates as one of the first non-EU countries.
