The Ministry of Defense has codified and approved the supply of the Ukrainian buggy Varan.
This all-terrain vehicle is designed for a wide range of tasks, including troop transport, evacuation of the wounded, and delivery of ammunition.
The Varan buggy was developed and manufactured at a Ukrainian enterprise. Its foundation is a robust frame engineered for extreme operational conditions. It features a powerful turbo-diesel engine and an automatic 5-speed transmission. Most components and mechanisms are sourced from well-known global automotive manufacturers.
Designed by an engineer with extensive experience in vehicle repair and operation, the buggy meets military specifications: it is fast, maneuverable, easily repairable, low-profile, and highly capable in rough terrain.
The two-seater buggy weighs just over a ton and can carry 500 kg of cargo or tow a trailer weighing up to 300 kg. Its fuel tank capacity allows for a journey of 200 km on challenging off-road routes. On sand, the Varan can reach speeds exceeding 100 km/h. During testing, the buggy has never rolled over.
