On September 12, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine issued a démarche to the Mongolian side during a meeting with Ganhuurai Battungalag, Director-General of the Europe and Africa Department of Mongolia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who had arrived in Kyiv from Ulaanbaatar at Ukraine’s request.
Ukraine expressed its deep disappointment with Mongolia’s refusal, as a signatory of the Rome Statute, to execute the International Criminal Court’s warrant for Putin's arrest during his visit to Mongolia.
Ukraine will not let these actions go unanswered. Mongolia’s decision will be taken into account in Ukraine's future policy regarding the development of bilateral relations with Mongolia and in shaping Ukraine's stance on supporting Mongolia in international forums.
At the same time, Ukraine hopes that Mongolia will take effective steps to restore the constructive nature of the traditionally friendly Ukrainian-Mongolian relations, which align with the interests of both nations.
