The security service has documented that Russia has begun an active phase of preparing a pseudo-referendum on the illegal "accession" of the temporarily occupied territories of the east of our country.
As evidenced by the array of information collected by the Ukrainian special services, the enemy plans to use the pro-Russian organization "The Donetsk Republic" to carry out the so-called "goodwill manifestation".
Previously, it operated only on the territory of the terrorist organization "DPR", but now its geography is being expanded. Accordingly, the enemy plans to change the name. The most likely option the occupiers will choose is "Greater Russia".
According to the SBU, more than 1,000 "activists" are already active in this organization, who hold daily meetings with the population of the temporarily occupied territories. Among them are agitators, bloggers, and "friends" cooperating with the occupiers.
In effect, they recruit people by inviting them to join the organization. They have already covered more than 200,000 local residents.
Kremlin curators plan to use controlled media resources to reach more than 50 million viewers from Russia and eastern Ukraine with their propaganda about fake events.
In addition, the invaders plan to send more than 1,000 Russian "experts" and "volunteers" to the region to shake up the internal situation in their favor.
According to the SBU, they should organize illegal mass gatherings, spread propaganda supporting the pseudo-referendum, and set up "polling stations". In the future, they plan to prepare an appeal allegedly from residents to the leadership of the occupation administration regarding the "accession" of the Donetsk region to the Russian Federation. The SBU already has several such documents that were intercepted.
To increase "electoral support", the invaders offer food kits, starter packs of Russian mobile operators, and propaganda newspapers. Currently, they are already printed on the territory of the "DNR" with a circulation of more than 250,000 copies.
In addition, to spread separatist ideas, the enemy plans to create an extensive network of so-called "activists" in the Kherson, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipropetrovsk regions - to "deploy" large-scale subversive activities if necessary.
So far, the Security Service has established the identity and location of the organizers and perpetrators of these crimes. Comprehensive actions are underway to bring them to justice.
Cyber ââspecialists of the Donetsk and Luhansk region's SBU carried out measures to expose and document crimes.
