The Security Service of Ukraine has gathered evidence against the Russian singer Yulia Chicherina, who expressed support for Russia's armed aggression.
According to the investigation, shortly before 2023, she posted a video message on her YouTube channel in which she called on Ukrainian Defense Forces to surrender to Russian captivity. Additionally, in her speech, Chicherina threatened Ukrainian defenders with imprisonment in Russian concentration camps in Siberia.
Subsequently, this video was picked up by propagandists of the Kremlin's central information resources and circulated on Telegram channels of terrorist organizations in the so-called "L/DNR."
Furthermore, after the aggressor's attack in Olenivka, the suspect traveled to the temporarily occupied town and held a concert there, during which she encouraged local residents to join the ranks of the occupiers. She accompanied this propaganda with slogans that justified the temporary occupation of parts of Ukraine.
A language-linguistic expertise initiated by the Security Service confirmed the facts of subversive activities by the suspect in favor of Russia.
Just a reminder, in March 2022, the suspect illegally entered the temporarily occupied Energodar and removed the flag from the local city hall building. The perpetrator is facing a possible life sentence.
The investigation was carried out under the procedural guidance of the Office of the General Prosecutor.
