If seaports remain blocked, the situation with grain storage will become catastrophic as early as September-October.
This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Mustafa Nayem during the webinar "The Economy of War: May Review and Focus on Infrastructure".
At the moment, there is no critical situation with the fact that the grain is not exported in the planned volumes - we have storage space. It will be catastrophic in the fall when there will be nowhere to store the new harvest, and, of course, we need to be prepared for this.
Mustafa Nayem
According to various estimates, about 20 million tons of grain should be exported in 3-4 months, given that now the possibility of exporting is 5 million tons per month.
I really hope that during this time we will be able to establish additional alternative export routes
