The Verkhovna Rada Committee on State Power, Local Self-Government, Regional Development and Urban Planning has reviewed and approved the resignation of Denys Shmyhal from the position of Prime Minister of Ukraine.

This was reported on Telegram by Yaroslav Zhelezniak, a member of the Holos parliamentary faction.

"The committee approved the resignation of Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal. Next is today’s vote in the Rada," he wrote.

According to him, the vote on the resignation of the prime minister and the Cabinet will take place today, and tomorrow the Rada is expected to vote on appointing a new prime minister and members of the government.

On July 14, President Volodymyr Zelensky proposed that Yuliia Svyrydenko take over as head of the Cabinet of Ministers during a meeting with her.
