Despite various assessments of the provision of the Ukrainian army, the level of armament as of today is not worse than last year. The supply of servicemen on the battlefield remains at the level observed in the summer and autumn of 2024.
This was stated by the First Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Ivan Havryliuk.
Ivan Havryliuk specifically noted the development of unmanned systems. At the beginning of 2024, the number of FPV drones used for striking the enemy was about 20,000 per month, but this figure has now risen to 200,000. This indicates a significant increase in the technological potential of the Ukrainian army.
In 2025, the level of provision of unmanned systems, especially FPV drones, stands at around 200,000 per month and continues to grow.
"This applies not only to FPV drones but also to other unmanned systems used by the Defense Forces. In particular, active work is being done to implement ground robotic complexes. Special attention is paid to their use for logistical tasks, mine-laying and demining operations, as well as the evacuation of the wounded," noted the lieutenant general.
According to him, performing these tasks is especially dangerous for servicemen, as they are in open terrain and face the greatest risk of being hit. That is why these functions are planned to be transferred to ground robotic complexes so that operators can control them from safe locations.
