"For the first time, Ukraine and Moldova will be able to participate in the EU competition for infrastructure projects, for which 7 billion euros are allocated from the budget of the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF),"
This was reported by the European Commission's press service.
It is noted that over 7 billion euros are available for projects aimed at creating new, modernizing, and improving European transport infrastructure within the framework of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T), which includes railways, inland waterways, sea and inland ports, or roads.
"For the first time, organizations from Ukraine and Moldova can directly apply for EU funding within this competition since the signing of Association Agreements with these two countries earlier this year," the announcement stated.
Additionally, projects that contribute to the development of Ukraine-EU solidarity routes created to facilitate Ukrainian exports and imports will also be accepted.
Applicants can submit their proposals until January 30, 2024. More detailed information is available online.
