As of June 11, the death of 287 children as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation in Ukraine has been officially confirmed. This is reported by the Office of the Attorney General.
"As of the morning of June 11, 2022, more than 779 children suffered in Ukraine due to the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. According to official information from juvenile prosecutors, 287 children were killed and more than 492 were injured.
These figures are not final, since work is underway to establish them in the places of active hostilities, in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories," the statement said.
Children suffered the most in the Donetsk region - 217, Kharkiv - 132, Kyiv - 116, Chernihiv - 68, Lugansk - 53, Kherson - 52, Mykolaiv - 48, Zaporozhzhia - 30, Sumy - 17, in Kyiv - 16, Zhytomyr - 15.
Prosecutors report that in the course of fixing criminal offenses, it became known about the death of 24 more children in the city of Mariupol, Donetsk region, as a result of indiscriminate shelling by the Russian military.
It also became known about the wounded 17-year-old girl on April 9, as a result of shelling by the occupiers of the village Raygorodok, Donetsk region.
1,971 educational institutions were damaged due to bombing and shelling by the armed forces of the Russian Federation. Of these, 194 were completely destroyed.
