In order to provide people in Ukraine with access to the necessary medicines, Liki24.com, Nova Ukraine, and Uber company have joined together in a joint initiative. Ukrainians affected by the war, who do not have the financial ability to buy medicines at full cost, will receive 50% compensation from the "Medicines for Ukraine" fund.
Liki24.com created the "Medications for Ukraine" fund, which covers half of the cost in the case of ordering medical drugs through the Liki24 application. Compensation of UAH 500 can be spent, paying for several orders within three days from the moment of activation. The Medicines for Ukraine Fund actively involves foreign and Ukrainian companies in its initiative. This will help increase the amount of aid for those who need it. So, in two months, more than 4,000 Ukrainians have already received assistance from the fund for more than UAH 2 million. In particular, the American charitable organization Nova Ukraine contributed over one million hryvnias to the "Medicines for Ukraine" fund, which will help more than 2,000 Ukrainians who have found themselves in dire straits because of the war.
In turn, the Uber company also joined the initiative, which provided promotional codes for free delivery of orders made through the "Medicines for Ukraine" fund. Delivery will be made through the Uber Connect service, which Uber introduced in 2020.
"Today, we are very excited to join this initiative, continuing our partnership with Liki24.com and empowering our platform to help people in need get the medicine they need quickly and reliably. Uber supports and will support Ukraine as long as it is necessary," said Marcin Mochyrog, General Manager of Uber in Central and Eastern Europe.
For partner companies that make corporate contributions, the "Medicine for Ukraine" fund has created a special information panel that allows monitoring the use of funds in real-time, as well as with the help of a delivery execution map.
