Mateusz Wodzinski, an activist and blogger from the Polish village of Lapiche, initiated a fundraiser for cars for the Ukrainian military, Polish Radio reported on Sunday, August 7.
Having initiated the collection of cars for the Ukrainian army, Wodzinski was the first to donate his Grand Vitara to the needs of the front. Soon, thanks to benefactors, it was possible to collect more than 100,000 zlotys and donate five more SUVs to Ukraine.
"The need for such SUVs at the front is extremely high. I took part of it to the front, and left part of it with the military in Kyiv, from where they were to go to the front line. The machines help the Ukrainian military in their daily efforts to contain the aggressor," Wodzinski said.
Now he is preparing two more cars for shipment to Ukraine, but he does not stop there and collects them for the next pickups.
"Pickups are the most convenient for soldiers of the various types of off-road vehicles. They can be used to move around, transport some weapons, but most importantly, they can be used to evacuate the wounded from the battlefield," the activist explained.
