The head of the Czech Senate, Miloš Vystrčil, has arrived in Kyiv to participate in the Crimea Platform summit.
"I have come to Kyiv for the Crimea Platform summit. At the inaugural summit of the platform in August 2021, I said that the annexation of Crimea cannot be akin to our Munich 'about us without us.' At that time, I represented the Czech Republic and emphasized that we must stand up for Ukraine," he said.
Vystrčil emphasized that the developments after the occupation of Crimea show that if Western support is insufficient, Russia will not stop.
"We must also remember that peace negotiations cannot take place without Ukraine's participation and that the results of the negotiations must be acceptable to Ukraine," he added.
This year's Crimea Platform summit will take place on Wednesday, September 11.
