The radiation background on the territory of the Chernobyl NPP is normal.
In the evening of March 31, the Russian occupiers withdrew from the territory of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, which they captured on February 24. They forced the Chernobyl nuclear power plant workers to sign an acceptance certificate for the station, which they turned out to be "guarding" for more than a month. And fleeing to Belarus, the occupiers engaged in looting.
This was announced by the head of the State Agency of Ukraine for Exclusion Zone Management, Yevhen Kramarenko on the air of a joint information marathon on Ukrainian TV channels.
"Insignificant movements (of the invaders - ed.) took place in the morning. The equipment that was on the site of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant began to dissapear. After some of the equipment left, the person who was the oldest among them, his last name according to the act - Yakushev, he had the call sign "Nineties", offered to draw up an act and threatened that if this did not happen, they will take our employees with them to Belarus. The act was signed under duress," Kramarenko said.
After signing the act, the occupiers looted the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.
"They started taking out valuables, packing in the equipment that remained on the Chernobyl nuclear power plant site, and partially leaving. Employees were at their workplaces and were forbidden to leave the control rooms and offices. As far as we know, they have left nothing there on the territory of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. Still, the employees are afraid to leave the territory and move very carefully through it, because some explosive devices may have been left. They stole more or less valuable things - computers, coffee makers, kettles, several containers with a property that was on the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, they also loaded on their cars and took out," said the head of the State Agency.
The Chernobyl NPP currently has 59 employees. They inspected the territory of the station - the Russian occupiers were not found. They did not go outside the Chernobyl nuclear power plant because it can be dangerous there, in particular, the territory may be mined.
"We can't be sure now whether there are occupiers in the city of Chernobyl. There is a hotel there. And the occupiers even loaded the car with sets, forks, spoons, plates that were in the hotel," Kramarenko added.
The day before, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk said that the Russian occupiers could have mined the Chernobyl territory and brought weapons there.
"Where they were located, where there were checkpoints, including in the Red Forest, which is mentioned in many media sources, they did not allow Chernobyl workers. That is, employees can not confirm or deny this," - said Kramarenko.
He assured that "except that some things have disappeared, all sensors seem to be normal. No significant damage to the infrastructure of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant has been detected yet. But it is necessary to ensure the state of these objects ".
At the same time, radiation level sensors do not transmit information to the general system.
"In manual mode, employees checked - as if there are no excesses. But the whole system will need to be restored. And it is not clear why it does not transmit information - perhaps the server equipment was disabled or simply disabled. We will find out," he said. head of the State Agency.
We will remind, on February 24 the Russian military captured the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. The station staff was held hostage. On March 9, it became known about the power outage of the station. Subsequently, the power was restored. Russia brought military equipment and weapons to the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.
