Over the past 14 days, thanks to the fire control exerted by Ukrainian drones over the land corridor to Crimea, Russian military cargo traffic has decreased by 71%.
This was announced by Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, Robert “Madyar” Brovdi.
“From now on, the occupier’s logistics convoys to Crimea are permitted only via detours. An official admission of their own helplessness—the concession has been noted.
Effective June 7, by order of the commander of the Vostok Group of Forces, military cargo traffic has been prohibited on the E58 highway section (the Russian designation: R-280 ‘Novorossiya’) running through the temporarily occupied territories of Mariupol, Berdiansk, Melitopol, and Simferopol. Over the past two weeks, traffic on this route has already declined by 71%,” he wrote.
According to the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram, the Russian military command made this decision following systematic strikes on Russian military transport in the southern operational area.
Units of the Unmanned Systems Forces, Army Corps formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard of Ukraine, the Special Operations Forces, the Security Service of Ukraine, and other components of the Defense Forces have been involved in disrupting the Russian logistics deep behind the front line.
Over the two-week period, cargo traffic along the affected route reportedly fell by approximately 71%, from about 3,800 to 1,100 vehicles per day.
“This does not mean the route has been completely blocked, but it does indicate a significant reduction in the enemy’s logistical capabilities and is forcing them to use alternative routes,” the Unmanned Systems Forces noted.
