Slovakia is ready to allocate about €84 million in loans and grants for the implementation of restoration and development projects for the infrastructure facilities of NEC Ukrenergo.
This was discussed during a meeting between representatives of the Slovak government and the leadership of NEC Ukrenergo, reports energy company’s Facebook page.
“Slovakia is prepared to provide about €84 million in loans and grants for the implementation of projects to restore and develop Ukrenergo’s infrastructure facilities,” said Ukrenergo’s Investment Director Oleg Pavlenko.
According to him, the projects include the construction of a new high-voltage power line in a region heavily damaged by Russian shelling, the construction of a new Ukrenergo substation, and the reconstruction of an existing one.
Pavlenko assured that the implementation of each of these initiatives is very important and will significantly strengthen the resilience of the Ukrainian energy system.
The implementation of projects to rebuild Ukraine’s energy infrastructure with the support of Slovak partners will be administered by the Export-Import Bank of the Slovak Republic and the Slovak Development Agency, with the assistance of the Slovak government.
