Sweden will consider the possibility of supplying equipment to Ukraine for the development of distributed generation. According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine following a meeting between Minister Herman Halushchenko and Sweden's Minister for International Cooperation and External Trade, Johan Forssell.
"Forsell emphasized that supporting Ukraine is one of Sweden's key priorities in foreign policy, and it will continue. Following the meeting, he noted that the Swedish side will explore the possibility of supplying equipment for distributed generation to Ukraine," the statement said. It was also mentioned that representatives of Swedish businesses present at the meeting expressed readiness to deepen cooperation with Ukraine, particularly in renewable energy.
The Ministry of Energy also reported that since the start of full-scale Russian aggression, Sweden has delivered 171 shipments of humanitarian aid to support the energy sector, totaling over 1,650 tons.
As previously reported, Sweden has allocated a new aid package of 650 million Swedish kronor (56.5 million euros) to increase Ukraine's capacities in electricity generation and transmission. Additionally, the country has already contributed nearly 25.3 million euros to the Energy Support Fund.
