Tetra Tech has already started operations in the Kyiv, Odessa, Sumy, Kherson, and Kharkiv regions. To expedite the demining process, the company will utilize advanced technologies.
This was announced by Jeffrey Thomas Coldwell, a representative of Tetra Tech, during a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food for Digital Development, Digital Transformation, and Digitization, Denis Bashlyk, who stated,
"There are about 20 companies engaged in demining in Ukraine. But this is very little. The demining work needs to progress faster."
The American company Tetra Tech is a global leader in demining in challenging conditions. It collaborates with the U.S. State Department, from which, at the end of 2022, the company received a $47.6 million contract for humanitarian demining in Ukraine, as reported by Forbes.
Tetra Tech aims to assist Ukraine in detecting and neutralizing anti-personnel mines, unexploded and abandoned ordnance, improvised explosive devices, and other explosive objects. Additionally, Tetra Tech will conduct demining training according to international standards.
