On the sidelines of the NATO Summit, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky met with President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel.

The Ukrainian leader praised Petr Pavel's efforts to bring Ukraine closer to NATO membership and to ensure our country's victory in the war.

The leaders coordinated their positions ahead of the meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council, meetings of the Air Defense Coalition and the Fighter Jets Coalition.

They also discussed the implementation of the Czech initiative to supply Ukraine with artillery ammunition and new sources of financing, the realization of the results of the first Peace Summit and the involvement of as many countries of the Global South as possible in the restoration of a just peace in Ukraine.

Special attention was paid to our country's path to EU accession. Ukraine hopes for a speedy negotiation process with the EU and expects bilateral screening meetings on Ukrainian legislation to begin.
