At this year’s Venice Architecture Biennale, our country will be represented in two pavilions: the national pavilion of Ukraine in the Arsenale and in the French pavilion exhibition with two projects from the urban coalition Ro3kvit.
This was announced on the Biennale’s website and on the Ro3kvit: Urban Coalition for Ukraine Facebook page.
Ukraine’s participation in the International Architecture Exhibition this year will draw international attention to issues of reconstruction and recovery of Ukrainian cities.
The Ukrainian project is titled “Dakh: Vernacular Hardcore.” Its curator is Tetiana Filevska, the creative director of the Ukrainian Institute, a researcher of Ukrainian avant-garde, and a curator.
An international team will work on the curatorial concept: Bohdana Kosmina, Michał Murawski, and Kateryna Rusecka.
Details of the project are not yet disclosed.
Two Ro3kvit projects are part of the exhibition in the French pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale 2025, which will open on May 10. This year's theme of the pavilion is Living with. How to live with the consequences of climate change, war, and global instability? How can architecture become a tool for adaptation and recovery? Ro3kvit will present two large-scale research projects that shape new ideas about the spatial future of Ukraine.
More details about our projects:

"We are grateful to the team of the French pavilion for the opportunity to be heard. For us, it is important not just to show projects but to share the Ukrainian experience – to speak with the world about the war and its consequences, the recovery of Ukraine, and what we are going through today," wrote Ro3kvit: Urban Coalition for Ukraine.
