During the Munich Security Conference, Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov held discussions with the leaders of KNDS France and KNDS Deutschland, one of Europe's largest defense holdings.

The talks focused on maintenance of military equipment provided by Ukraine's partners, along with potential supplies of new weapons, including self-propelled artillery systems. Ukraine expressed its readiness to localize repairs and production of defense products within the country. The parties also explored the possibility of joint production of 155mm ammunition.

Additionally, Umerov discussed plans with KNDS Deutschland to enhance air defense and missile defense systems' repair and modernization capabilities.

The meeting also addressed the development of UAV systems and the use of artificial intelligence in military technology.

"This is the future of the defense industry, and we are keen to jointly develop these technologies," said Umerov.

Ukraine continues to strengthen ties with leading defense companies globally to share expertise, create joint projects, and advance its defense-industrial complex.
