The main challenges for units of the State Border Guard Service are currently concentrated on the eastern section of the front—specifically in the Kupiansk, Kramatorsk, and Pokrovsk directions.

This was reported on air by the spokesperson of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Andriy Demchenko.

According to Demchenko, Russian forces are actively using tactics involving small infantry groups attempting to infiltrate Ukrainian positions, gather, and launch attacks. At the same time, the Russian forces are heavily employing drones, including FPV drones with fiber-optic control, as well as mortars, artillery, and aviation.

“These are serious challenges for our units; however, reconnaissance-strike drone systems, such as ‘Phoenix,’ artillery support, and assistance from other border units allow us to hold positions and destroy enemy forces,” emphasized the spokesperson.

Demchenko added that the situation along the northern border with Russia deserves special attention. Despite the absence of active combat in most areas, the border regions of Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv are shelled daily.

“Particularly intense strikes are recorded in the Sumy and Kharkiv regions. Shelling occurs every day, and the enemy does not reduce its intensity,” the spokesperson noted.

He reported that attacks target both Defense Forces positions and civilian settlements, causing harm to the civilian population.
