The UAE is interested in using the Diia service architecture, and Ukraine is interested in using artificial intelligence (AI) tools to forecast economic development. This was stated by the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko during a meeting with OAE Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications Omar bin Sultan Al Olama.
Yuliia Svyrydenko emphasized the leading role played by digitalization in Ukrainian society, particularly during the war. She emphasized the successes of state electronic services and how they had helped IDPs.
"Currently, more than 18 million Ukrainians use the Diia service, a digital identification tool and wallet that combines almost all services provided by the state. The Diia service architecture is also used abroad. Ukraine is also participating in the EU project to develop an electronic wallet," said Yuliia Svyrydenko.
Despite the ongoing war, Ukraine's IT industry is growing, with record exports of USD 7.34 billion last year.
"We need to develop the partnership in the digital sphere between Ukraine and the UAE. We are working to ensure that intergovernmental agreements between Ukraine and the UAE facilitate the interaction of IT companies," suggested Yuliia Svyrydenko.
