The Ministry of Defense has codified and approved the Ukrainian-made FPV unmanned aerial complex "Svitlovod" for use in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, according to the Main Directorate for Armament Lifecycle Support.
The "Svitlovod" drones are built on a durable frame, equipped with high-performance engines and lightweight, high-capacity batteries. These UAVs feature a fiber-optic control channel and can deliver a combat payload over distances of several dozen kilometers. They are fitted with automatic target detection and recognition systems and can be equipped with either day or night vision cameras depending on the configuration.
The "Svitlovod" can be deployed into combat position within minutes.
Since the beginning of 2025, more than 60 types of unmanned aerial complexes with fiber-optic control channels have been approved for use by the military.
