Ukraine approved 23 new export market openings and trade arrangements for domestic agricultural and food products in January–June 2026, already surpassing the figure for the whole of 2025, when 22 new markets were opened, according to the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection (Derzhprodspozhyvsluzhba).

“It is important that an increasing number of these decisions concern processed and value-added products,” said the agency’s head, Serhii Tkachuk.

According to the agency, new export opportunities have been opened for:

  • Albania – processed pet food
  • Algeria – cattle
  • Vietnam – egg products
  • Georgia – beef and beef by-products

In addition, Ukraine gained access to the following markets:

  • Egypt – sheep for immediate slaughter, egg products, fish products, and pet food
  • South Korea – pet food
  • Côte d’Ivoire – beef, lamb, poultry meat, and related products
  • Kuwait – meat and meat products
  • Moldova – live snails, snail caviar, and meat products
  • Chile – milk and dairy products

Ukraine also received approval to export planting material of sour cherry and dwarf cherry varieties, as well as their hybrids, to the European Union, and Ukrainian flour to China.

Derzhprodspozhyvsluzhba emphasized that a growing share of newly opened markets concerns finished products and goods with added value, including pet food, dairy products, egg products, and processed meat products.

The agency added that it continues to work with the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Ukraine’s diplomatic missions to open additional markets, remove technical trade barriers, and ensure compliance with the import requirements of partner countries.
