Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck an oil processing and pumping facility near the town of Kotovo in Russia’s Volgograd region during the night of June 13, along with a number of other Russian military targets.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the strike successfully hit the target and caused a fire at the facility.

The damaged installation is involved in the processing, transportation, and pumping of oil through Russia’s main pipeline network to refineries and export infrastructure. It also collects and prepares oil from the Korobkovskoye oil and gas field and nearby fields in the Volgograd and Astrakhan regions, as well as the Republic of Kalmykia.

Other targets reportedly struck included:

  • Russian military command posts in the areas of Soledar (Donetsk region) and Verkhnia Krynytsia (Zaporizhzhia region);
  • Russian drone command centers in the areas of Khoromne (Bryansk region, Russia), Verkhnia Krynytsia (Zaporizhzhia region), Voskresenka (Donetsk region), and Novomykolaivka (Kherson region);
  • Concentrations of Russian personnel in the areas of Kolotylivka (Belgorod region, Russia), Novi Yurkovychi and Chornozemnyi Horodok (Bryansk region, Russia), Soledar and Uspenivka (Donetsk region), Holubivka (Kharkiv region), and Pryvilne (Zaporizhzhia region).

The General Staff stated that the operation was part of ongoing efforts to reduce Russia’s military capabilities, disrupt logistics, and degrade command-and-control infrastructure supporting military operations against Ukraine.
