The situation on the border with Russia remains tense, with the Russian shelling Sumy, Chernihiv, and Kharkiv regions using all available weaponry, but drones are preferred for most attacks.
This was stated by the spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service, Andriy Demchenko, during a TV broadcast.
"First and foremost, regarding the border with Russia, shelling continues in Sumy, Chernihiv, and Kharkiv regions. The enemy is using all available weaponry, including missiles, aviation, drones, and artillery. However, for most of the shelling, drones are still the primary method. These include drone drops, fiber-optic drones, and FPV drones," Demchenko said.
He also mentioned that the situation on the border with Belarus is under full control, but threats could increase during the Russian-Belarusian military exercises.
"The situation on the border with Belarus is calm and fully controlled at the moment, but of course, we pay significant attention to this direction, especially considering the upcoming joint exercises between Belarus and Russia, including the actions of various units on Belarusian territory. During this period, the risk to our country could significantly increase, especially if Russian army units are involved on Belarusian soil," the spokesperson added.
