The United States has announced a reward of up to $10 million for information about five employees of the Russian GRU involved in cyberattacks on critical infrastructure in Ukraine and several Western countries.

The announcement was made on Facebook by the U.S. Embassy in Moldova.

“These individuals are members of Unit 29155 of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff of Russia (GRU), which has carried out malicious cyber activities targeting critical infrastructure in the U.S., including in the energy, government, and aerospace sectors. Officers of GRU Unit 29155 are responsible for attacks on critical infrastructure in Ukraine and dozens of allied Western countries,” the post states.

The wanted GRU officers named are Vladyslav Borovkov, Denys Denysenko, Yurii Denysov, Dmytro Holoshubov, and Mykola Korchahin.

“Their weapon is the keyboard, their goal is chaos, their conscience — permanently disabled,” the message adds.
