Ukraine's 3,000 km-range drone has passed testing.
This was announced by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"Today, I held a Staff meeting. There were several issues, but the most important one was drones. All types of drones that are needed. There is good news regarding long-range drones. Our 3,000 km-range drone has passed testing. I am grateful to the developers and manufacturers. We are developing a line of long-range capabilities that will help guarantee the security of our state," he stated.
The creation of such a drone increases the range of potential strikes on targets within Russia, reaching as far as Novosibirsk. In particular, Russia’s largest Omsk Oil Refinery is now within reach. Previously, the longest publicly known long-range attack was on the Olenya airbase in the Murmansk region, approximately 1,800 km from Ukraine’s border.
Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, Ukraine has been gradually scaling up drone production and even exceeded its target in 2024.
Last year, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov stated that in 2025, the military-industrial complex (MIC) would ramp up weapons production. This includes drones and long-range weaponry, particularly ballistic missiles.
According to the Ministry of Defense, in 2025, the level of UAV supply to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, especially FPV drones, has increased. It now stands at approximately 200,000 units per month.
