Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense has codified and approved for use by the Defense Forces 1,184 new samples of weapons and military equipment during the first half of 2026, with more than 90% of them being of Ukrainian production.

The Ministry of Defense noted that during the same period in 2025, the defense agency codified 765 samples of weapons and military equipment, of which about 84% were Ukrainian-made.

This year, the arsenal of the Defense Forces was expanded with advanced samples of armored vehicles and specialized armored vehicles, ammunition, unmanned aerial systems, communications equipment, electronic warfare/electronic intelligence systems, ground robotic systems, vehicles for various purposes, and other equipment.

In the first half of 2026, the Ministry of Defense codified the largest number of high-tech weapons and military equipment samples that meet the requirements of modern high-intensity warfare. The majority of them were produced in Ukraine.

The Ministry of Defense codified and approved for use by the Defense Forces of Ukraine:

  • 391 Ukrainian unmanned aerial systems;
  • 216 types of ammunition;
  • 128 communications systems;
  • 67 ground robotic systems;
  • 56 electronic warfare/electronic intelligence systems;
  • 45 vehicles;
  • 36 optical systems;
  • 34 armored vehicles and specialized armored vehicles.

Eight samples of small arms were also codified.

In addition to advanced lethal weapons, the Ministry of Defense approved for use a large number of domestically produced non-lethal weapons and military equipment, which are essential for Ukrainian defenders to carry out missions both on the battlefield and in rear areas.

The following were approved for use by the Defense Forces:

  • 24 Ukrainian-made logistics support equipment samples;
  • 10 engineering systems;
  • 8 equipment maintenance systems;
  • 3 radiation, chemical, and biological protection systems;
  • 3 training simulators;
  • 1 demining system.

One of the priorities of Ukraine’s defense strategy is achieving technological superiority over Russian forces. That is why the list of codified equipment is dominated by advanced systems that meet the requirements of modern high-intensity warfare.
