Russian forces in the occupied territory of Ukraine may initiate the mobilization of teenagers. In the Mariupol region, authorities have started issuing orders to include students born in 2007 in the military registration lists.

This information was reported on the Telegram channel of the Mariupol City Council.

One such document was issued by the education department of a local administration.

According to this document, starting from January 2024, all students born in 2007 must register at the military enlistment office. This could pose a threat of their subsequent mobilization.

It is noted that earlier, Vladimir Putin issued a directive to organize the fall conscription of Russians in 2024 through a unified registry of conscripts. This creates opportunities for Russian forces to mobilize as many people as possible, including from the occupied territories.

It was previously reported that Russians, for propaganda purposes, planned to create a "volunteer battalion" called "Donetsk." In reality, this refers to a unit of mercenary contractors.
