In Copenhagen, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and First Lady Olena Zelenska had an audience with Queen Margrethe II of Denmark, as well as with members of the royal family – Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary.
The head of the Ukrainian state highly appreciated the personal support from the royal family in humanitarian efforts by Danish and international organizations working in Ukraine.
"The statements and actions of the Danish royal family in support of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people mean a lot to us," said Volodymyr Zelensky.
The President expressed his gratitude to the Danish people, government, and parliament for the powerful humanitarian, financial, and military assistance to our country. In particular, he noted the activities within the Ukraine Support Fund aimed at restoring Ukrainian schools, hospitals, bomb shelters, water, heating, and energy supply, and more.
The head of state invited Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary to support investment and humanitarian projects jointly implemented by Ukraine and Denmark.
