Russian forces struck two areas in the Kharkiv region in the past day, resulting in damage to a business and residential buildings. As a result of the detonation of an explosive device left by the invaders, a civilian sustained injuries. This information was shared by Oleg Synegubov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, on Facebook.
More than 15 populated areas in the region were affected by enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Vovchansk, Bochkove, and Budarky in the Chuhuiv district, and Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, and Berestove in the Kupiansk district.
The towns of Vovchansk in the Chuhuiv district and Vilkhuvatka in the Kupiansk district were subjected to aerial attacks by the Russian army.
Around 09:30 on Sunday, January 14, the Russians struck Vilkhuvatka, causing damage to a local business. According to preliminary data, the invaders used guided aerial bombs, and fortunately, there were no casualties.
At 13:30, Russian forces launched a Grad multiple rocket launcher attack on Kupiansk, damaging residential buildings. Again, there were no reported casualties.
Around 17:30, in a forest near the settlement of Zolochiv in the Bohodukhiv district, a 56-year-old man detonated an explosive device, resulting in shrapnel wounds to his chest. The injured individual was hospitalized, and his condition is reported as serious.
Demining operations in the Kharkiv region are ongoing. Over the past day, combined groups of explosive ordnance disposal specialists have cleared 3.3 hectares of the region's territory from explosive hazards and destroyed 148 explosive devices.
