Sweden’s Minister of Defense, Pål Jonson, visited Ukraine. During the visit, he and the Commander of the Ukrainian Navy, Oleksii Neizhpapa, agreed on measures to strengthen Ukraine’s naval forces.
Commander Neizhpapa reported that Sweden remains one of Ukraine’s reliable partners in bolstering national defense and expressed gratitude for its steadfast support.
The Ukrainian Navy also briefed the Swedish delegation on the results of the Ukraine Naval Capabilities Coalition, highlighting the patrol boats provided by Sweden and demonstrating their maneuverability, technical features, and effectiveness in real combat conditions.
"The delegation was shown the weapons and the operation of the boats provided by the Swedish side, in particular their maneuverability, technical equipment, and experience of use in real combat actions. We also jointly honored the memory of heroes who died in battle with the enemy, defending their homeland. Sweden remains one of our reliable partners in strengthening Ukraine’s defense capability. Sincerely grateful for decisive and unwavering support," wrote Commander Neizhpapa.
