Italy supports the creation of a special tribunal for war crimes committed during the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
This was stated by the head of the Italian Foreign Ministry, Antonio Tajani, writes Sky24.
"Killing a vulnerable and unprotected population is a war crime, and we will see how to intervene: if a special tribunal is created, we are not against of it," Tajani said.
He also stated that Italy had never sent weapons to attack Russian territory and had never declared war to Russia.
"We have a problem with the leadership, not with the people. If the leadership violates the norms of international law, we can only have one position: to condemn law violations, war crimes, violence," Tajani explained.
