Due to the improvement of the epidemiological situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, with the assistance of the railway administrations of Hungary and Austria, the resumption of the first international railway routes was agreed with these countries as of June 1.
Ukrainian Railways (Ukrzaliznytsia) opened the sale of tickets for passenger trains in the direction of Chop-Záhony (Hungary) and for 2 non-stop cars along the route Kyiv-Vienna (Austria).
The train will depart from Kyiv Central Station at 14:07, pass through Budapest (arrival at 8:20) and arrive in Vienna at 11:21 the next day - a journey time of just over 21 hours.
In the opposite direction (from June 2), the train will depart at 16:42 and arrive in Kyiv at 17:22 the next day; travel time is almost 25 hours.
Chop- Záhony trains will run daily from June 1, departing from Záhony and Chop exclusively along the Záhony -Chop- Záhony section. And two non-stop cars on the route Kyiv-Vienna will depart daily from Kyiv from June 1 and in the opposite direction from Vienna from June 2.
Tickets are already available for purchase at the international ticket offices of the stations. At the same time, passengers are encouraged to study the current information on the rules of entry to Austria and Hungary on the websites of the embassies of these countries before travelling.
